At the end of its life-cycle the phoenix builds itself a nest of cinnamon twigs that it then ignites; both nest and bird burn fiercely and are reduced to ashes, from which a new, young phoenix arises…
"Phoenix Rising" is the new compilation compiled by Mouka and brings you another quality tracklist with some of the finest underground artists producing true psychedelic music. No compromise just pure psychedelic fun for the dance floor, a compilation with 10 tracks that are made for higher energy levels. The artists involved on the compilation are all in their own way masters of the psychedelia in psytrance music.
For this special edition Nemo has made the beautiful artwork for the compilation, a "Phoenix Rising".
Attoya finished their debut album, 9 previous unreleased tracks. We had some more delay with the artwork and we contacted a new designer. This time it is Emil who also designed the Santaon Records covers so it is in progress now and ready soon. Off course this has delayed the releasedate but I think we can schedule it for July/August.

a downbeat label, from chill out over ambient to more experimental music
Objekt4 - Space Jungle Slums [AJACD008]
Objekt4 was formed in 2003, to explore the fields of ambient music. The sound of Objekt4 ranges from bleak industrial ambient to downbeatchillout tracks. Hovering around the fine line between music and ambience, the fine line between reality and fiction. Experimenting with and re-arranging sounds of everyday life, creating shape-shifting forms of unknown dimensions. The "Space Jungle Slums" cd consists of three sessions recordedbetween 2005-2006, rooted in the realms of experimental chilled downbeat music. The title consists of one word from which each session was built upon. All music composed, recorded and mastered by Anders Peterson.
Edward Khooman seems to have a few trippy tricks up his sleeves with his debut album for Ajana Records. We are treated to eight tracks of lysergic down-tempo ambient from the Russian artist who starts bending your into shape with delicious meldoies, curling sounds and sofa-friendly beats. There is a distinctly magical atmosphere to many of the tracks and I felt encouraged to sit back and smile whilst I wobbled into Khooman's web of shimmering digital sounds. There are plenty of playful acidic riffs and soothing tones which excite the mind and despite the fact that most of the tracks stay under 100bpm you wil be dancing and sliding as they unfold. I love the chirping acid of "Let me out" and the oily tubular sounds on "It's only dust on the road". The last track "Shaman desert" weaves into the air with hypnotising percusions and layers of silk completing a memorable experience. A fantastic debut album.
Serious downtempo synthesiser chill with an air of cosmic mystery. Is A Flexible Liquid is an album of almost pure electronica - additional material blending seamlessly into the overall digital architecture. Brooding, squelching basses or blunt sub frequencies lumber and prowl at the low end, a rich and varied selection of lustrous synthetic voices delivering the melodic substance. Khooman makes full use of repeating phrases that alternate and cycle round and around gradually permeating the consciousness, inevitably building into powerful familiarity. There are some moody introductions - the melodies arising slowly out of ambient mists and shades to dramatic impact. There are some evocative airy effects spread across the sequential materials that have a slightly ghostly feel at times - moaning sheets of ton
e, heavily effected chants or pitch-shifted murmurings.
